A well-established and highly respected construction contractor is looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to join its expanding commercial team delivering new-build social housing schemes across Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire. This is a key role within a stable business with a strong pipeline of work and a reputation for quality delivery.
The Role
- You will take responsibility for the commercial management of new-build residential developments, working closely with operational teams to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and profitably.
- Duties will include:
- Full commercial management of live projects
- Preparing and controlling budgets and cost plans
- Procurement of subcontract packages
- Valuations and applications for payment
- Managing variations and change control
- Cost reporting and forecasting
- Subcontractor account management
- Final accounts and project close-out
- Supporting junior commercial staff (at Senior level)

- You will likely come from a contractor background and have:
- Proven experience delivering new-build residential or social housing schemes
- A strong understanding of cost control and subcontract procurement
- Excellent commercial and contractual knowledge
