We are currently recruiting for an Intermediate / Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established residential developer delivering high-quality housing schemes across the East Midlands. This is a great opportunity for a commercially astute individual looking to take more ownership across projects while continuing to develop within a supportive team.
The Role
As part of a dynamic commercial team, you will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of residential developments from procurement through to final account. You’ll play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered on budget while maintaining strong relationships with subcontractors and site teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage cost control and financial reporting across multiple developments
- Prepare and manage subcontractor packages, from procurement through to final account
- Produce valuations, cost forecasts, and monthly reports
- Identify and manage variations and commercial risks
- Support tendering and pricing of new developments
- Work closely with site teams to monitor progress and ensure cost efficiency
- Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure smooth commercial delivery
- Assist in final account negotiations and project close-out
What We’re Looking For
- Experience as a Quantity Surveyor within residential construction or housebuilding
- Strong understanding of cost management and subcontractor control
- Proven ability to manage projects through key commercial stages
- Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction (HNC/HND/Degree)
- Good communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a wider team
