I’m currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing social housing contractor based in Coventry, who are looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support their planned maintenance and refurbishment programmes.

This is a great opportunity to join a stable business with a strong pipeline of work across the Midlands and long-term contracts with housing associations and local authorities.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of multiple projects, including:

  • Planned maintenance works
  • Internal & external refurbishments
  • Kitchen and bathroom replacements
  • Reroofing programmes
  • Voids and occupied refurbishments

Key duties will include:

  • Cost control and commercial reporting
  • Preparing and agreeing valuations
  • Managing subcontractor accounts
  • CVRs and final accounts
  • Procurement and cost forecasting
  • Working closely with operational teams to maximise project performance

About You

My client is looking for someone who can hit the ground running in a social housing environment, ideally with:

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Assistant QS within social housing / maintenance
  • Strong knowledge of planned works and refurbishment projects
  • Commercially astute and detail-focused
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Full UK driving licence preferred
