About the Role
Our client are currently seeking an experienced and highly organised Senior Administrator to join their growing construction team. This is a key support role within the business, responsible for overseeing administration processes, document control, and operational support across multiple construction projects. The ideal candidate will have previous experience within the construction industry, strong document control knowledge, and a professional, proactive approach. We are particularly interested in someone who understands the importance of social value, community impact, and collaborative working within construction and regeneration projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide senior-level administrative support to directors, project managers, and site teams
- Coordinate meetings, project documentation, and internal communications
- Maintain accurate records, trackers, and filing systems
- Assist with tender submissions, subcontractor onboarding, and compliance documentation
- Support procurement and project mobilisation activities
- Manage office systems and contribute to continuous process improvements
Document Control
- Manage and maintain all project documentation in line with company procedures
- Ensure drawings, RFIs, specifications, and project correspondence are correctly distributed and archived
- Monitor document revisions and maintain accurate registers
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure documentation is up to date and compliant
- Support project teams with digital document management systems
Social Value & Community Engagement
- Support the delivery and tracking of social value commitments across projects
- Assist with community engagement initiatives, local employment reporting, and stakeholder communications
- Maintain records relating to apprenticeships, local spend, volunteering, and environmental targets
- Help promote the company’s commitment to responsible and sustainable construction practices
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience in a senior administration or document control role within the construction industry
- Strong understanding of construction processes and project documentation
- Experience using document management systems and Microsoft Office packages
- Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge or experience relating to social value initiatives within construction would be advantageous
