We are recruiting on behalf of a highly respected specialist contractor with an outstanding reputation for delivering technically challenging demolition, deconstruction and associated projects across the UK. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of work, they are looking to strengthen their operational team with experienced Site Managers and Site Supervisors who have a genuine background within the demolition sector. This isn’t a role for someone who has simply managed a small demolition package as part of a wider construction project. We are looking for people who understand demolition – the sequencing, planning, temporary works, risk management, logistics and, above all, the safety considerations involved in delivering complex projects successfully.
Projects can range from major structural demolition and deconstruction through to complex city-centre schemes, industrial environments, structural alterations, remediation and specialist works.
The Role
Working as part of an experienced operational team, you will take responsibility for the safe and effective delivery of demolition projects on site. You’ll coordinate labour, plant, subcontractors and specialist trades while ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with programme. You’ll also be responsible for maintaining excellent standards of site management, documentation, communication and client liaison throughout the project.
You will ideally have:
- Strong experience within demolition or deconstruction
- Previous experience as a Site Supervisor, Site Manager or similar
- Excellent understanding of site health & safety
- Experience managing demolition operatives, plant and subcontractors
- Good understanding of RAMS, sequencing and safe systems of work
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- The confidence to work with clients, consultants and project stakeholders
- Appropriate industry qualifications and training
- Flexibility to travel to projects where required
Most importantly, we’re looking for experienced demolition professionals who take pride in delivering difficult projects safely and properly.
What’s On Offer?
£50,000 – £75,000 + package, depending upon experience and level. This is an opportunity to join a progressive specialist contractor delivering some genuinely interesting and technically demanding projects. There is excellent scope for long-term progression for ambitious individuals who want to develop their career within specialist demolition and deconstruction.
