A leading commercial interiors contractor is looking to appoint an Assistant / Project Quantity Surveyor to join its growing team delivering high-quality office fit-out projects across the Midlands and beyond. This role will suit someone with around five years’ experience from a contractor background who is keen to continue developing within a supportive, collaborative environment. You’ll be working closely with a Contracts Manager and wider commercial team, gaining exposure to complex schemes and building long-term career prospects within a well-established business.
The Role
- Supporting procurement and placing subcontract orders
- Cost control and reporting
- Managing variations and change
- Carrying out valuations and applications for payment
- Assessing subcontractor accounts
- Assisting with forecasting and final accounts
- Liaising with project and site teams
- Supporting the wider commercial function across projects
The Ideal Candidate
- Around 5 years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying role with a contractor
- Exposure to commercial office fit-out or refurbishment projects
- A positive, coachable attitude and desire to keep developing
- Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
