We are looking for a Senior Instrument Technician to join a skilled Engineering team based at the Head Office in Knowsley with regular travel to customer sites across the UK. This role involves supporting both site and workshop operations while taking a lead role on projects, ensuring instrumentation systems are accurate, reliable, and compliant with safety standards.
A Full UK Driving Licence is essential. This position would ideally suit an experienced Senior Instrument Technician; however, applications are also welcomed from Instrument Technicians with substantial industry and site experience who are looking to take the next step in their career.
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Lead jobs on site
- Engage with customers
- Provide real time updates
- Manage project documentation
- Act as a technical point of contact when required
You will work closely with Engineers and technical staff to perform calibration, maintenance, commissioning, and fault finding on instrumentation systems. This hands-on role can be physically demanding and offers a varied workload between site visits and workshop activities, providing exposure to a wide range of systems and equipment.
Salary: Up to 34,500 - 46,000 per annum (dependent on experience), plus overnight allowances, overtime opportunities, fuel card, and accommodation fully paid for and arranged by the company.
Hours: 38 hours per week; Monday to Thursday 07:50 to 16:20.
