M&E Project Planner required in Leeds! We are seeking a skilled and experienced Planner to join our valued client’s team. Our client is a large M&E Contractor that operates throughout the UK, and they’re looking to take on an M&E Planner to work remotely in the Leeds area, with occasional travel to site. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing and coordinating project programmes, ensuring timely delivery and efficient resource allocation. This role involves working closely with both office-based and site-based staff, contractors, and suppliers to ensure consistency and alignment across all phases of MEP projects.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Develop, maintain, and review project programmes at pre-contract and post-contract stages.
- Create progress reports and revise project schedules and forecasts using planning/programme software such as Microsoft Project or Asta.
- Break down large projects into manageable phases of development.
- Use project management tools to plan and manage project timeframes effectively.
- Collaborate with Estimators to calculate resources required for projects.
- Develop contingency plans to address potential changes in project timelines.
- Meet with contractors and suppliers to discuss and review programme-related issues.
- Demonstrate knowledge of construction processes, particularly in roofing and façade works.
- Coordinate between office and site teams to ensure consistency in programmes and sequencing.
- Produce procurement and design programmes aligned with agreed construction schedules.
- Conduct critical reviews of programmes for Extension of Time (EOT) requests, identifying delays, hold-ups, and additional works.
- Maintain a basic understanding of EOT/Compensation Events requirements to ensure accurate programme adjustments.
