Mechanical Contracts Manager Required in Manchester

Our client carries out large, complex MEP engineering project works across the UK and Ireland, delivering leading-edge construction solutions across a range of key sectors including; Commercial, Education, Healthcare, Heritage, Hospitality & Leisure, Life Sciences & Residential through their Major Projects, Facilities Management & Specialist Projects divisions.

The role: Our client is looking to take on an experienced Mechanical Contracts Manager to join their Contracts department.

The Ideal Candidate will be a motivated and reliable individual who brings enthusiasm and positively to the team and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.

This is a hybrid remote role, split between working from home. and travelling to different live sites across the UK.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Ensuring projects / Contractual requirements are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Procurement of relevant plant, materials and Sub-Contractor packages.
  • Responsible for the project team, staff management, control of labour and their coordination.
  • Meeting with clients on a regular basis.
  • Liaise with the Client and Contractor on the project delivery.
  • Ordering and managing products / machinery for site.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Applicants must have a clean driving license.
  • Applicant must either have Mechanical Engineering degree or other relevant qualification.
  • PC literate with competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Health and Safety Knowledge.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
  • Strong interpersonal and Organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, with a 'can-do' approach to work and willingness to learn and assist.
  • Organised and disciplined in your planning and approach to work.
  • Work well and confidently as part of a team in a busy environment.
