Our client is a leading contractor in high quality mechanical, plumbing and electrical engineering solutions. They take pride in delivering excellence across a diverse range of sectors, and as they continue to grow, they are looking for a motivated Junior Mechanical Project Manager to join their team in Bromborough.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious individual, perhaps someone from a site based mechanical background looking to move into management, or a recent graduate with some industry experience to develop their career within a supportive and dynamic environment.
The Role
As a Junior Mechanical Project Manager, you will work closely with the Senior Project Managers to oversee the life cycle of various MEP installations across Commercial and Domestic Settings. You won’t be thrown into the deep end alone; you’ll be mentored to handle everything from initial design review to final handover.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with supporting the planning, coordination, and successful delivery of mechanical, plumbing, and electrical building services projects, including HVAC and pipework installations.
- Attend project and site meetings while carrying out progress checks to ensure works are completed in line with quality expectations and health & safety requirements.
- Support the coordination of subcontractors and help ensure equipment, materials, and plant are delivered according to project timelines.
- Contribute to the preparation of project documentation such as operation and maintenance manuals, health and safety records, and progress reports.
- Help monitor project expenditure against agreed budgets and provide assistance with cost reporting, valuations, and variation management.
Candidate Requirements

- Qualifications/Experience: Mechanical or plumbing installation background within commercial or domestic settings (e.g., Level 3 qualification or equivalent) with ambitions to transition into project management.
- Technical Skills: Ability to interpret construction drawings and technical specifications.
- Communication: Confident interacting with site teams, suppliers, and clients.
- IT Skills: Competent in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel; familiarity with AutoCAD or project planning software would be advantageous.
- Driving Licence: Full UK driving licence required due to site travel.
Salary & Benefits
- Salary ranging from £32,000 – £36,000, depending on experience.
- Office location in Bromborough, with travel to sites across the North West.
