We are currently recruiting for a Mig Welder to join one of our clients on a temporary contract based in Bolton. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Mig Welder with proven fabrication skills to support a busy workshop during a peak period. This position offers an hourly rate of £15.00 – £16.50 per hour, depending on experience. Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 16:00, (Some weekend work may be available). Overtime rates applied for hours worked outside of standard working hours.

Mig Welder Key Responsibilities:

  • MIG welding and fabrication of bespoke and one off items as a MIG Welder
  • Working from engineering drawings and specifications
  • Working with Mild Steel, Stainless Steel, Structural Steel, and Aluminium to produce accurate, high-quality fabrication work
  • Inspecting welds to ensure high quality and accuracy standards are met.
  • Maintaining welding equipment and ensuring a clean, safe, and organised workspace

What We’re Looking For in a Mig Welder:

  • Proven experience as a MIG Welder in a fabrication or workshop environment
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings confidently.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
  • Reliable, proactive approach with a strong work ethic.
  • Good understanding of workshop health and safety procedures
