S&D Trade Recruitment are currently looking for a skilled Fabricator with the ability to Mig Weld to join a well-established company in Bolton, specialising in bespoke design and fabrication services. This is a temporary Fabricator role with ongoing work up to and after Christmas, with some weekend work potentially available.
Salary: £20 per hour.
Hours: 37.5 hrs/week, Monday to Friday, 08:00–16:00 (some weekend work may be available).
The successful Fabricator will work in a busy workshop producing high quality fabricated components from mild steel and some stainless steel, working from engineering drawings and specifications. MIG welding experience is essential.
Fabricator Key Responsibilities:
- Fabricate and assemble metal components using techniques such as cutting, bending, drilling, grinding, and MIG welding.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications accurately.
- Inspect components to ensure quality and precision.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to meet production targets.
Fabricator Requirements:
- Proven fabrication experience is essential.
- MIG welding experience required.
- Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Experience working with mild steel and stainless steel.
- Recognised welding/fabrication qualifications (NVQ, City & Guilds) or time-served apprenticeship advantageous.
- Semi-skilled applicants with proven experience are also welcome.
- Immediate start required.
