Our client carries out large, complex MEP engineering project works across the UK and Ireland, delivering leading edge construction solutions across a range of key sectors including; Commercial, Education, Healthcare, Heritage, Hospitality and Leisure, Life Sciences and Residential through their Major Projects, Facilities Management and Specialist Projects divisions. Our client is looking to take on an experienced Quantity Surveyor for Mechanical and Electrical projects. This is a remote role for someone based near Leeds, working from home with occasional Site Visits across Yorkshire and the North West. Attend pre-contract meetings, liaise with a wide range of construction professionals, and ensure timely completion of agreed actions. Contract review and negotiation with Main Contractors / Clients Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers on behalf of the company, ensuring competitive pricing and favourable terms. Administer construction contracts in line with agreed terms and management of the payment processes. Prepare regular cost reports and financial statements, tracking project progress and identifying any potential budget deviations. Identify and assess potential financial risks associated with projects and develop mitigation strategies. Maintain effective communication with clients, keeping them informed about project costs, progress, and potential changes. Collaborate with other team members, including project managers, engineers, and support services to ensure project success. 5 years + post graduate experience in a QS role within the Construction Industry ~ Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications ~ Applicants must have a clean driving license ~ Willing to travel to site 1-2 days per week.
