Rystad Energy is looking for a senior analyst to lead EMEA oil markets. This is a high-impact role combining deep analytical expertise, team leadership and direct client engagement across Europe's most active trading and macro accounts. You will own the EMEA crude and products research agenda and serve as the primary voice of Rystad Energy for clients across the region.

Based in London, you will lead Rystad Energy's EMEA oil market analyst team and take ownership of the region's crude and product balance research. You will engage directly with clients, lead market presentations and coordinate with global experts to ensure clients get the right insight at the right time.

  • Client engagement
    • Act as the primary point of contact for EMEA oil market clients
    • Coordinate with global experts to bring the right knowledge to each client interaction
    • Lead market update presentations for European trading and macro clients
  • Research and content
    • Own the EMEA crude and product balances, with a particular focus on refining and product demand
    • Build and maintain deep expertise in EMEA market dynamics alongside broad knowledge of global oil fundamentals
    • Lead and contribute to written analytics and data product development
    • Coordinate the EMEA view with global fundamental leads to ensure a consistent, integrated perspective

Background and qualifications

  • We are looking for a candidate with strong analytical credentials, energy and drive, and the ability to communicate complex market dynamics to sophisticated clients.
  • Five to ten years of experience in a fundamental oil market analysis role
  • Demonstrated people management experience and clear potential to grow as a leader
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across trading, macro and research-oriented clients
  • Deep knowledge of EMEA crude and product markets, with solid grounding in global oil supply and demand fundamentals
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Comfortable presenting to senior audiences and handling challenging questions in a live setting
