The Role:
- Responsibility for the day to day and strategic management of the Project Department.
- Champion company NPI introduction from concept thought to start of production. Ensuring on time , on Budget and to the required Quality and capacity.
- Support Engineering, process and machinery/tooling improvement activities, cost reductions, productivity improvements, and part quality improvements.
- Create, manage and maintain the company Capital expenditure planning, including COR approval and purchase orders.
- Ensure both project and department budgets are achieved and reported to the business.
- Supporting the Business Development group with technical resources and planning to secure new business via RFQ process and customer meetings.
Essential Criteria:
- Third level qualification in an engineering/ technical discipline
- Previous project management experience, ideally within a manufacturing engineering environment
- Previous experience in a management role, ideally within a manufacturing engineering environment
- IT literate, proficient in MS Office
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Communication skills, oral and written
- Strong interpersonal and customer focus skills
- Planning and organizing skills
- Presentation and negotiation skills
- Ability to work effectively on own initiative and effectively contribute within a team environment
- Ability to see activities through to completion
- Problem solving skills
