Join our Vehicle Maintenance Unit (VMU) team at what is a very exciting time. With more than 10 VMU sites, Rygor provides dedicated service, maintenance and repair for large fleet customers and we have recently expanded this division by taking over the running of four workshops for a large blue-chip customer. You can be part of an exceptional team, whilst making the most of all the benefits that being part of Team Rygor offers you.
An exciting opportunity has arisen at our VMU site in Thurrock. We are recruiting for an experienced and qualified HGV Technician who wants to evolve their experience and skills to progress into a Technician Supervisor role. You will be responsible for the supervision of the technicians and ensure the smooth running of the workshop during your shift hours. You will be expected to work alongside your team on an 80% productive time basis and 20% administrative duties.
- HGV mechanical duties – MOTs, diagnostics, inspections etc.
- Assigning work/job cards to technicians
- Signing off job cards
- Quality control
- Completing inspection sheets
- Ensuring smooth running of workshop
- Ensuring workshop complies with Health & Safety regulations
Essential skills, experience for the role:
- HGV qualified / IRTEC certificated
- Have a strong technical background
- Team leadership is not essential but desired
- Kerridge would be an advantage but not essential
