4 on 4 off - 6am - 6pm / 6pm - 6am

Join our Vehicle Maintenance Unit (VMU) team at what is a very exciting time. With more than 10 VMU sites, Rygor provides dedicated service, maintenance and repair for large fleet customers and we have recently expanded this division by taking over the running of four workshops for a large blue-chip customer. An exciting opportunity has arisen at our VMU site in Dagenham. We are recruiting for an experienced and qualified HGV Technician.

You will be carrying out servicing and repairs upon our contractors’ vehicles, to a high standard of quality and productivity. You will be working within a team of like-minded individuals and preparing quality paperwork.

You will have a minimum qualification of City and Guilds level 3 certificate in HGV vehicles or equivalent. Class 1 licence would be an advantage, but we would consider your application if you have worked in a similar HGV environment. You will have a “fix first time” attitude together with excellent communication skills.

Essential skills and experience needed for the role:

  • Level 3 qualification; level 3 City & Guilds or NVQ qualified technician OR LOLER certification
  • Ability to work within guidelines given and to strict deadlines
  • Be able to actively seek solutions to problems
  • Be able to work under pressure
  • Be able to work as part of a team
  • Good communication skills
  • HGV licence is an advantage
