An opportunity has arisen for progression within our Oxford workshop. We are recruiting for a Workshop Supervisor to join the Service team.
About You
- Experienced and qualified in heavy goods mechanics
- Should possess good customer relation skills to adapt to customers' individual requirements
- Ability to handle pressure without it affecting working relationships and effectiveness
- Show man management skills and team leadership
- Good basic administrational knowledge
- Hold self-organisational skills
- Previous supervisory experience would be beneficial
Main duties and responsibilities
- You will be responsible for the supervision of the technicians and ensure the smooth running of the workshop during your late shift hours.
- You will be expected to work alongside your team 60% of productive time and 40% administrative duties.
- Assigning work/job cards to technicians
- Signing off job cards
- Quality control
- Completing inspection sheets
- Ensure smooth running of workshop
- Ensure workshop complies with Health & Safety regulations
Essential skills, experience for the role
- Have a strong technical background
- Good basic administrative knowledge
- Basic IT skills
- Ability to communicate both face to face and via telephone
- Team leadership is not essential but desired
- Kerridge would be an advantage but not needed
