At Rygor Service Solutions, part of the Rygor Group, we are looking for an experienced and dedicated VMU Manager, who leads by example and inspires the team around them.
Your role is key to business success. Not only do you spend at least 60% of your time managing and guiding your team, you also have the responsibility to ensure your department achieves. Your role is all about brilliant communication, a positive outlook and inspiring those around you.
Day to day, you will be:
- To plan and control your workforce resource availability to meet your customer’s fleet demands.
- To manage and control labour costs, including any use of third parties.
- To comply with safety audits and manage working code of practice for contractors.
- Ensuring planning for facilities, bays, machines, tools, diagnosis installations, etc. are carried out correctly, optimal design of workplaces and processes.
- Preparing planning and calculations for investments in workshops, facilities and HR, together with the Rygor management.
- Regularly review prices for workshop services and after prior agreement with Rygor management, adapt them to suit the market.
- Measure and report on daily workshop performance around retail sales, warranty and internal contract.
- WIP management and cash control.
- Employing new staff and carrying out effective induction.
- Managing, coaching and motivating employees, ensuring retention of high-quality team members.
- Defining target agreements with employees and reviewing the level of target achievement.
Skills & Behaviours Required for this Role:
- Qualifications: You will need to be level 3 (NVQ or City and Guilds or IMI Qualification) in Vehicle Repair and maintenance. Also, previous experience in a similar role and industry is preferred.

- Time Management: Ability to prioritize and complete tasks within timeframes to meet customer demands and maintain workshop efficiency.
