Multi-site role across 5 VMU locations. £55,000 per annum + bonus opportunity, vehicle allowance. Monday to Friday, 45 hours per week. Flexibility required.

Your Role

Rygor is looking for an experienced and commercially minded Key Account Manager to support the performance and continued success of our Vehicle Maintenance Unit (VMU) operations across five customer sites. This is a highly visible role, acting as the key link between Rygor and our customer, ensuring operational excellence, strong customer relationships, and the achievement of critical fleet performance targets. Our VMUs operate 365 days a year, helping keep customer fleets on the road and minimising vehicle downtime. As Key Account Manager, you'll regularly travel between sites, working closely with site management and the Head of VMUs to ensure resources, processes and performance are aligned to customer expectations.

Day to day, you will be:

  • Act as the primary point of contact between Rygor and the customer across multiple VMU sites.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships through regular communication, review meetings and performance discussions.
  • Support VMU site managers in delivering operational excellence and achieving agreed KPIs.
  • Drive Vehicle Off Road (VOR) performance, ensuring downtime is minimised and fleet availability is maximised in line with customer requirements.
  • Review resource requirements across sites, supporting effective workforce planning and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance, health and safety processes, procedures and policies are adopted and adhered to at all sites.
  • Work closely with the Head of VMUs to implement strategic objectives and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor operational performance, identifying trends, risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Attend regular customer meetings, presenting performance updates and action plans where required.
  • Ensure consistency of service delivery, compliance and customer experience across all VMU locations.
  • Support the successful delivery of business growth, customer retention and contract performance objectives.

Skills & Behaviours Required for this Role:

You'll be a confident relationship builder with a strong operational background, ideally within commercial vehicles, fleet maintenance, automotive aftersales or a related sector. You'll have:

  • Experience managing key customer relationships and service delivery.
  • Strong commercial awareness and customer focus.
  • The ability to influence and support managers across multiple locations.
  • Experience working with operational KPIs and performance metrics.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
  • A willingness to travel regularly between sites.
