About the Job

Are you a strategic thinker who loves the intersection of business, technology, and finance?

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to join Ryft, a high-growth fintech start-up, to help define and drive the next generation of our payments platform.

In this pivotal role, you will act as the bridge between our Executive/Sales teams and our Software Engineering teams.

You will be responsible for translating high-level business vision and commercial requirements into a concrete, executable product roadmap.

You won't just be managing features; you'll be shaping the future of how marketplaces and merchants handle payments globally.

This is a hybrid role based in central Manchester, with 2 days per week in the office.

Responsibilities

Ownership: Work directly with the Exec and Sales teams to identify market opportunities and define the features that keep the Ryft Payments Platform at the cutting edge.

  • Bridge Sales & Engineering: Translate complex commercial needs and customer feedback into clear, actionable technical requirements and user stories for our engineering squads.
  • End-to-End Delivery: Collaborate closely with Software Engineering to ensure features are built to a high standard and delivered on time for Ryft customers.
  • Stakeholder Management: Balance competing priorities between sales-led requests and long-term platform scalability, keeping all parties aligned and informed.
  • Market & Regulatory Insight: Stay ahead of industry trends and regulatory changes (like PSD3) to ensure Ryft remains compliant and competitive.
  • Product Success: Define and track key performance metrics to measure the impact of new features and inform future iterations.

Experience & Skills Required

  • Fintech/Payments Background: Proven experience managing B2B or Fintech products, ideally with a deep understanding of the payment value chain (Gateways, Acquirers, etc.).
  • Strategic Communication: Exceptional ability to communicate with both executive leadership and technical teams, translating \"business-speak\" into \"dev-speak\" and vice-versa.
  • Prioritisation Excellence: A data-driven approach to prioritisation, with the ability to say \"no\" or \"not now\" to protect the platform's integrity.
  • Technical Literacy: While you don't need to write code, you should be comfortable discussing system architecture and technical constraints with senior engineers.
  • Agile Leadership: Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth startup environments using Agile methodologies to deliver complex products.
