This is a full‑time hybrid role for a Treasury and Payments Analyst based in Manchester. The analyst will be responsible for monitoring and reconciling accounts, supporting payment processing operations, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and preparing financial reports. The role involves working closely with cross‑functional teams to analyse financial data, support decision‑making, and ensure accurate and timely transactions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations of multi‑currency accounts, including bank accounts and internal ledgers.
  • Investigate and resolve reconciliation discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Monitor client fund movements and ensure accurate allocation and reporting.
  • Maintain compliance with relevant regulatory requirements (e.g., FCA safeguarding).
  • Liaise with internal teams (e.g., Operations, Sales) to resolve issues promptly and improve processes.
  • Prepare reconciliation reports and supporting documentation for audits and regulatory reviews.
  • Identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements to enhance controls and accuracy.
  • Assist with month‑end and year‑end financial closing activities related to client funds.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing required data and explanations.
  • Support and contribute to ad hoc projects and strategic initiatives as required.
Qualifications
  • Strong Analytical Skills to evaluate financial data and identify trends.
  • Effective Communication skills for collaborating with team members and presenting findings.
  • Background in Finance with experience in Accounting and Account Reconciliation.
  • Attention to detail and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in financial and payment processing systems is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Understanding of payment operations and compliance requirements.
  • Experience in the fintech or payments industry is an advantage.
