About Ryft
Ryft is a regulated payment facilitator and authorised payment institution building the infrastructure layer for modern commerce platforms. We enable marketplaces, SaaS platforms and multi-party ecosystems to embed and monetise payments natively. Our technology handles onboarding, compliance, orchestration, split payments and revenue sharing allowing our partners to focus on growth while we manage complexity. We’ve recently closed our Series A and are entering the next phase of scale: deepening our product moat, expanding into new verticals and building a category-defining embedded payments platform.
About The Role
This role is a great opportunity for exposure to a fast-paced, groundbreaking, democratic scaleup that continuously pushes boundaries. The business development team is the backbone of our business, so we are looking for bright, motivated, organised self-starters to join us and further develop their sales career.
As an Account Executive you will be responsible for building and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders, pitching the benefits of Ryft and negotiating contracts. In this role you’ll be expected to find and approach suitable new clients for Ryft and manage those clients through the sales cycle all the way to closed deals. You’ll work together with one of our Senior Account Executives to hit and exceed your own personal targets, while contributing to the business’s wider objectives.
You will...
- Prospect from a book of ICP leads while also identifying and qualifying your own potential clients
- Build relationships with decision makers, understand customer needs, deliver sales presentations, negotiate contracts, and close deals
- Communicate with and influence C-suite level executives to use Ryft as their payment partner
- Understand client needs and propose solutions based on those needs
- Support the commercial team in the execution of sales initiatives
- Collaborate with other non-commercial departments to ensure clients go through a smooth journey from initial meeting to becoming a Ryft client
You must be comfortable approaching businesses to generate your own pipeline, and having relative autonomy over how you hit your sales targets.
What we are looking for
Experience:
- ~12 months minimum sales experience or similar
- ~ Experience in a B2B sales role selling a complex product with a longer sales cycle (3 months +)
- ~ Experience in a role where pipeline generation has been a requirement
- ~ Experience prospecting, developing relationships and negotiating deals through to close
- ~ Experience using CRM systems to track progress and work with leadership to create a sales growth plan
Skills that will help you succeed:
- Self-driven
- Strong communication skills
- The ability to persuasively demonstrate product and industry knowledge to clients
- The ability to show initiative and bring your own ideas
- A creative approach to sales and the sales cycle
- Strong commercial acumen and a desire to find new ways to grow the business
- Comfortable having relative autonomy over how you achieve your sales targets
Please note that these are not all absolute requirements. We value attitude and cultural fit as much as experience, so if you don’t match all the above but you are interested in the role, please don’t hesitate to apply.
