We currently have an excellent opportunity for a Hard FM Supervisor with an electrical bias to join our highly regarded repairs and maintenance team in Essex. This position will provide you with the opportunity to take on some supervisory duties, whilst still maintaining an active role within your trade. This is a mobile role where you will be maintaining 4 healthcare sites in Walthamstow, Ilford and Hainault. Rydon Maintenance is an expanding division of the Rydon Group and is successfully providing facilities management services to a variety of clients, predominantly within the healthcare and housing association sectors.
Responsibilities:
- Perform daily maintenance duties as part of our PPM (planned and preventative) and reactive maintenance programme.
- Work across a variety of trades but tailored to skill set and involve electrical/mechanical repairs, isolation/make safe, plumbing through to other building fabric maintenance.
- Arrange planned maintenance visits and site inductions with subcontractors, ensuring health and safety compliance, maintaining site documentation and records, and carrying out inspections to ensure works are carried out satisfactorily.
- Participate in an on‑call rota for emergency repairs where you will receive a standby allowance and overtime paid per call out.
- Support the maintenance team and supervise the 4 sites (Ilford, Walthamstow and Hainault).
Qualifications:
- Previous experience of working within an electrical or multi‑skilled role, ideally with the NHS or other commercial properties (schools, prisons, supermarkets, etc.).
- Understanding of Microsoft packages such as Outlook.
- Strong people skills, great attention to detail and the ability to combine supervisory duties whilst still maintaining an active role within a skilled trade.
- A full UK driving licence (company van provided).
