Rydon Maintenance Ltd is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage costs for our responsive and planned housing maintenance and repairs contracts. The role is based in our Dartford office, with a hybrid working culture offering flexibility between home and office. We combine personal touch with outstanding technical expertise to deliver quality facilities for local communities. Key Responsibilities

  • Control of expenditure
  • Timely purchasing and negotiating sub-contract, material and plant orders
  • Reconcile cost/value reports & profit forecasts
  • Ensure subcontractors and suppliers are approved and meet company standards prior to procurement
  • Ensure value for money and financial assessments
  • Manage day-to-day cost control, monitoring and reporting
  • Process subcontractor requests for payment via application & invoice

This is a full-time permanent position. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is an experienced Quantity Surveyor with demonstrable experience ideally within a housing maintenance environment – reactive/responsive repairs, cyclical decorations and/or lifecycle repairs. Experience in the refurbishment of social housing stock is also considered. Knowledge of NHF schedule of rates, property services contracts for local authorities and relevant contracting practice is required.
