We are now seeking an experienced Site Supervisor at Blackberry Hill Hospital in Bristol. This site is part of our contract with an NHS Trust and this role is primarily in place to ensure that we deliver a quality maintenance service to our client. As part of this role, you will be hands-on performing daily site maintenance duties as part of our responsive repairs and PPM (planned and preventative maintenance) programme. In addition to day-to-day maintenance duties, the preferred candidate will act as focal point for external Sub-Contractors organising and arranging planned maintenance visits where necessary. You'll ensure health and safety compliance, maintain site documentation and make sure records are up to date for audits. You'll also assist in inspections to ensure works are carried out satisfactorily, within time scales and the site is left clean and safe.

The normal working hours are 8am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday and you'll also participate in an on-call rota system (which offers the opportunity to increase your earnings and be involved in additional urgent repairs).

What we can offer you:

  • Pension Scheme: 4% contributory.
  • Health Cash Plan: helping you spread the cost of essential healthcare

  • Flexible benefits for you to choose from including Critical Illness, DenPlan and Cycle to work schemes.
  • Employee Referral Scheme: recommend a personal connection to us and claim a cash reward for their successful hire.
  • Opportunities for you to progress your career across the business.

This is an excellent opportunity for a varied role combining site supervisory and maintenance duties.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate previous experience of working within a multi-skilled or trade role. This experience might have been gained working directly for the NHS, or a maintenance contractor providing services within the NHS although not essential and candidates with experience of maintaining other commercial properties (schools, prisons, supermarkets for example) will be considered. The preferred candidate will have a good understanding of Microsoft packages such as Outlook, Word and Excel (basic), strong people skills, great attention to detail and be looking for an opportunity that combines supervisory duties whilst still maintaining an active role within a skilled trade. If you have this experience we would strongly encourage you to apply.

As a well-established, progressive company we are committed to attracting and retaining individuals by offering an excellent benefits package that includes a wide range of core and voluntary benefits. Rydon is an equal opportunities employer and promotes diversity in employment. Successful candidates will be selected solely on their ability to carry out the duties of the post.
