Are you an Electrician with experience working within the Maintenance and Facilities Management sector? Rydon Maintenance Ltd have an excellent opportunity for a Mobile Maintenance Electrician in Bristol on a facilities management contract with the NHS.

As part of the role you will be required to undertake scheduled Planned Maintenance (PPM's) and reactive repairs across a number of NHS healthcare sites. The contract covers a number of healthcare properties in a patch between Bristol, Salisbury and Swindon and the role will involve:

  • Reactive maintenance and repairs such as power and lighting faults
  • Planned preventative maintenance (PPM's) such as emergency lighting and fire alarm testing
  • Maintain and repair electrical systems and associated plant
  • Respond to breakdowns, fault‑find and complete minor and small installations
  • Support with other general building fabric repairs

There will also be the requirement to participate in the call‑out rota to provide out‑of‑hours support. The normal working hours are 8am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday. When on‑call you will receive a standby allowance and overtime paid per call out.

Experience Required

  • Previous relevant experience in the maintenance of buildings is essential, ideally within the NHS (or for a maintenance contractor providing services to the NHS)
  • Alternatively, you will have worked for a maintenance contractor providing a planned/reactive maintenance service in a commercial setting (perhaps a hotel, school, supermarkets etc)
  • Electrical Installations qualification 18th edition Testing and Inspection 2391 – Desirable but not essential
  • Solid Health & Safety awareness
  • Experience of using a handheld device (PDA) + Good IT Skills
  • A full UK manual driving licence is required (no more than 6 points)
