Are you an Electrician with experience working within the Maintenance and Facilities Management sector? Rydon Maintenance Ltd have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Electrician / Maintenance Site Supervisor to join our highly regarded repairs and maintenance team in Southend, Essex on a facilities management contract with the NHS. This is an excellent opportunity to take on some site supervisory duties, whilst still maintaining an active role within your trade.
What we do: Rydon Maintenance Ltd provides a range of hard facilities management and property maintenance services in partnership with a range of NHS Trusts. We provide reactive and planned maintenance to a number of NHS buildings and we work to strict timescales and safety requirements to ensure the comfort and safety of service users using these NHS facilities. With offices in the South East, to Bristol in the South West our experience has taken us across a variety of sensitive healthcare environments.
Job Purpose: As an Electrician / Site Supervisor your time will be split between supervising the sites and also maintaining an active role in your trade. You will be working across two care homes located in Southend, Essex.
Key responsibilities include:
- Reactive maintenance and repairs such as power and lighting faults
- Planned preventative maintenance (PPM's) such as emergency lighting and fire alarm testing
- Respond to breakdowns, fault-find and complete minor and small installations
- You will also support with other general building fabric repairs
- Document management
- Site Inductions
- Contractor Spot/checks
- Managing/Supervising Contractors
- Van Inspections
There will also be the requirement to participate in the call-out rota to provide out-of-hours support. The normal working hours are 8am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday. When on-call you will receive a standby allowance and overtime paid per call out.
