Domestic Gas Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Domestic Gas Service Engineer to join our highly regarded gas operations and maintenance team based in Brockley and Canning Town, London. Rydon Maintenance is an expanding division of the Rydon Group and is successfully providing facilities management services to a variety of clients, predominantly within the healthcare and housing association sectors.  Job Purpose We are looking for an experienced Domestic Gas Service Engineer to join our team on a permanent basis to undertake routine servicing and maintenance for our domestic customers. You will deliver exceptional customer service as you ensure that routine servicing to gas fired boilers (central heating and hot water systems) are working to the required quality standards. You will identify any faults and where possible, rectify these during the visit, issuing the completion certificate (CP12) where the systems meet the required safety and quality standards. In addition, you will also have the opportunity to undertake fault finding and repair work which could include replacement to heating and hot water system components (such as control boards, pipework, radiators etc). The role is based in South East London with the patch covering Brockley, Canning Town and surrounding areas. You will be issued with your own fully equipped van and fuel card as this is a mobile role. What we can offer you We offer a very competitive salary for a 40 hour week. The working hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm. Experience Required You will have experience in boiler servicing and maintain a current ACS certification (domestic). You’ll be comfortable with undertaking routine servicing as well as some repair works such as leak detection/repair, replacement radiators, valve replacement and parts replacements across gas fired heating and hot water systems. You will have excellent communication skills and enjoy providing excellent customer services. A keen eye for detail and quality of workmanship is also essential.
