We now have an excellent opportunity for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Technician to join our highly regarded NHS repairs and maintenance team based in Bristol. Our maintenance business provides a range of expert planned and responsive maintenance services to domestic properties and commercial buildings in the social housing, health and social care sectors. Our NHS maintenance healthcare team in Bristol provide a planned, preventative and reactive maintenance service for a large NHS trust. To enable us to continue to deliver an excellent quality service, we are looking for a multi skilled maintenance technician to join the team.
This is a varied role where you will undertake scheduled Planned Maintenance (PPM's) and reactive repairs. You will be working in a mobile role maintaining a number of healthcare sites so a full UK driving licence is required.
- Carry out reactive maintenance, repairs of building, electrical and mechanical services, associated systems, plant and equipment.
- Carry out weekly/monthly PPM's such as emergency lighting testing, water temperature tests, weekly fire alarm testing.
- There will also be some planned maintenance activities such as planned upgrade works and refurbishment as part of our ongoing efforts to ensure a safe environment for service users.
- Use the provided handheld PDA to receive jobs, complete risk assessments, and close jobs in real time.
- Be part of the out of hours call out rota for emergency and make safe repairs (which offers the opportunity to increase your earnings and be involved in additional urgent repairs).

This is a full time permanent position and working hours are 40 per week, Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm.
The successful candidate will have previous relevant experience in the maintenance of buildings. Your experience will ideally have been gained within an NHS environment, though candidates with maintenance experience gained within other commercial environments (such as hotels, supermarkets, schools etc) will also be considered.
A recognised electrical qualification such as City & Guilds or NVQ. You will also have excellent customer service skills and be passionate about providing high quality repairs/planned maintenance. This is a mobile opportunity (and as such a full driving licence is required).
