Rydon Maintenance Ltd in Bristol is expanding! We're looking for a skilled HVAC/Mechanical Engineer to join our specialist Facilities Maintenance team, supporting a critical NHS estate. This is a brand-new role within the team, giving you the opportunity to make a real impact from day one. You'll play a vital part in keeping essential infrastructure running safely and efficiently, delivering both planned preventative maintenance and responsive reactive repairs across the estate.

Rydon Maintenance Ltd provides a range of hard facilities management and property maintenance services in partnership with a range of NHS Trusts. We provide reactive and planned maintenance to a number of NHS buildings and we work to strict timescales and safety requirements to ensure the comfort and safety of service users using these NHS facilities. This is a mobile HVAC/mechanical engineer position around Bristol. Reporting to the Service Manager, you'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems in a number of NHS healthcare buildings.

  • Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across HVAC systems.
  • Respond to reactive maintenance, fault finding, diagnosis and repair.
  • Carry out maintenance on AHUs, FCUs, pumps and motors.
  • Minor installation, refurbishment and upgrade works.
  • Participate in an on call rota for emergency and make safe work.

Previous relevant experience in the maintenance of buildings in a commercial setting is essential, ideally within the NHS. You will have a relevant mechanical qualification and be F-Gas certified. In addition, you will have solid Health & Safety awareness, proven experience carrying out HVAC maintenance and repairs, strong fault finding and problem solving skills. A full UK driving licence is required (no more than 6 points).
