POSITION TYPE: PT-16 Hours/week
SHIFT(S): 6:00am-2:00pm, Sat/Sun
Responsibilities:
- Monitor food expiration and storage per safety standards.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and infection-control procedures at all times.
- Communicate with residents, dietary staff, and the care team about dietary needs, preferences, and any concerns.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Dietary Manager or Food Service Supervisor (e.g., special-diet tray prep, temperature logs, sanitation tasks).
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED preferred (or equivalent).
- Previous experience in food service or healthcare dietary settings preferred but not required.
- Ability to read and understand meal orders, dietary instructions, and follow recipes or menus carefully.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work well with residents, families, and staff members.
- Physical stamina: ability to stand, walk, lift, bend, and carry items (food trays, supplies) as needed throughout shift.
- Commitment to food safety, sanitation, and respect for resident dignity.
