Our international law firm client is seeking an experienced Senior Business Development Manager to lead and drive its commercial strategy across Germany. This is a high-impact, senior role offering the opportunity to shape business development initiatives, support revenue growth, and act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership.
Role
You will take ownership of the business development agenda for Germany, combining strategic leadership with hands-on delivery. Working closely with partners and regional stakeholders, you will define and execute growth strategies, strengthen client relationships, and enhance market positioning.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and delivering the overall business development strategy, from planning through to execution and measurable outcomes
- Advising partners on commercial opportunities, client development, and go-to-market initiatives
- Driving strategic client programmes, including relationship development and account growth planning
- Overseeing high-value pitches and proposals, ensuring compelling and competitive positioning
- Providing market intelligence and insight to inform business strategy and identify growth opportunities
- Promoting cross-selling and collaboration across practices and regions to increase revenue
- Overseeing marketing activity locally, ensuring alignment with broader commercial objectives
- Managing directory submissions and profile-raising initiatives to enhance market visibility
- Tracking performance metrics and delivering insight-driven reporting to senior stakeholders

Requirements:
- Significant experience in business development or commercial strategy within a professional services environment
