We are seeking an experienced Records Manager to lead and enhance our Records service across multiple offices. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of a critical function, manage a team, and drive process improvements in a dynamic professional services environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Vendor Management
- Line-manage a team of three, setting objectives and conducting performance reviews.
- Oversee external contractors and service providers, ensuring SLAs are met.
- Review and improve Records processes to streamline operations.
- Deliver ad hoc Records projects and report on progress, risks, and benefits.
- Records Operations
- Register and barcode archive and deeds items in Elite 3E Records Management System (RMS).
- Process retrievals, manage consignments, and update RMS accurately.
- Handle permanent withdrawals and destruction in line with policy and GDPR.
- Compliance & Documentation
- Maintain chain-of-custody records and audit trails.
- Support Business Continuity and Health & Safety procedures.
- Collaboration
- Work closely with Facilities and internal stakeholders to resolve issues.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with internal customers and external providers.
Skills & Experience
- Previous management experience in Records/Information Management within a professional services environment.
- Proficient in Elite 3E RMS (or similar) and confident with IT tools (Outlook, Excel, barcode systems).
- Strong customer-service focus with excellent communication skills.
- Understanding of data protection and retention principles.
