We are partnering with a leading global law firm to appoint a Senior Project Manager who will help manage a recent internal merger, joining their high-performing Change function.
This is a strategic, high-impact role where you will lead complex, cross-border transactions across Europe.
The Opportunity
This role offers the chance to take ownership of the end-to-end deal lifecycle, from initial diligence through to closing and Day 1 readiness. You will operate as a key connector across business functions, ensuring seamless execution during critical transaction phases, while enabling a smooth transition into post-deal integration.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver end-to-end M&A transaction workplans (diligence to Day 1 readiness)
- Coordinate cross-functional teams across Finance, HR, IT, Legal, Risk, and Operations
- Manage external advisors (legal, financial, tax) and ensure all closing requirements are achieved
- Define and drive Day 1 readiness plans with structured handovers to integration teams
- Provide clear reporting and insight to senior stakeholders on transaction status and risks
- Ensure compliance with European regulatory requirements (including competition law and GDPR)
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in M&A, corporate development, consulting, or programme management within a law firm
- Strong track record delivering cross-border European transactions end-to-end
- Excellent project management capability (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP or equivalent)
- Strong financial acumen with the ability to assess business cases and synergies
- Outstanding stakeholder management and communication skills at senior level
- Fluency in English (additional European languages are advantageous)
