The role
In your new role as a Legal Talent Assistant, you will support the Legal Talent team across both lateral and graduate recruitment activities. Working closely with senior members of the team, you will play a key role in ensuring recruitment, onboarding, events, and talent administration processes are delivered efficiently and to a high standard. Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Coordinating interviews and managing communication with candidates, agencies, hiring managers and other stakeholders.
- Maintaining recruitment records, databases and applicant tracking systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance at all times.
- Preparing recruitment documentation, including offer letters, onboarding materials and other employment-related correspondence.
- Supporting onboarding and induction activities, ensuring a seamless experience for new joiners.
- Assisting with trainee and lawyer review processes, performance tracking and associated administration.
- Supporting recruitment events, law fairs, work experience programmes and wider Legal Talent initiatives.
What do you need?
In order to be successful in this role you will need:
- Previous administrative experience within HR, Legal Talent, Graduate Recruitment or a similar people-focused function.
- Experience gained within a law firm would be highly advantageous.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence interacting with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong attention to detail with exceptional data entry, proofreading and record management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, Outlook and virtual meeting platforms.
