My global and esteemed international law firm client is seeking an experienced HR leader to drive the delivery of exceptional HR support across a large and diverse workforce. The Senior HR Manager will bring extensive expertise in UK employment law and regulatory compliance, a strong record of successfully navigating complex employee relations cases, and the ability to influence and partner effectively with leaders across a dynamic and multifaceted organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders on people strategy, organisational effectiveness and workforce planning.
- Lead complex employee relations matters, including disciplinaries, grievances, performance, absence management, restructures, redundancies and settlements.
- Ensure compliance with employment law, regulatory requirements, firm policies and HR best practice, mitigating people-related risk.
- Lead the HR Operations function, delivering efficient, compliant and high-quality HR services across the employee lifecycle.
- Partner with reviewers, global HR teams and business leaders to support performance reviews, progression decisions and associate departures.
- Provide strategic and operational HR support across fee-earner and business services populations.
- Lead organisational change initiatives, including restructures, TUPE transfers, integrations and transformation programmes.
- Coach and develop managers to strengthen people management capability and drive consistent application of firm policies and values.
About You:
This role requires a confident Senior HR professional who can balance strategic thinking with operational excellence while driving positive employee outcomes and organisational performance. Significant HR experience gained within a Senior HR Manager, HR Business Partner, or equivalent role. Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and current regulator requirements, with the ability to apply this pragmatically in a legal environment. Demonstrable experience managing high volumes of complex employee relations cases across a large workforce. CIPD Level 7 qualification (or equivalent) preferred. Degree level education or equivalent professional experience.
