A leading international law firm is seeking an experienced Knowledge & Innovation Lawyer to join its global Knowledge & Innovation (K&I) function, with a specific focus on UK corporate transactions. This is an excellent opportunity for a corporate lawyer who enjoys working at the intersection of legal expertise, knowledge management, and innovation within a dynamic, global professional services environment.

The Role

Working as an embedded member of the global K&I team, you will act as a resident knowledge expert for UK corporate and M&A matters, supporting lawyers across the practice with high-quality legal content, know-how, training, and innovation initiatives. You will work closely with practice leaders and stakeholders to enhance efficiency, consistency, and value delivery for both lawyers and clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create, develop, and maintain model documents, precedents, forms, checklists, and other substantive legal content for UK corporate and M&A work.
  • Ensure knowledge resources are current, practical, and easily accessible via internal systems and platforms.
  • Provide legal, market, and practical expertise, including collecting and analysing transaction data for benchmarking, post-deal reviews, and market insights.
  • Monitor key legal and regulatory developments and support the preparation of client alerts and updates.
  • Contribute to internal and external training initiatives, including associate and trainee training, client workshops, and firmwide programmes.
  • Collaborate with the K&I team on innovation and efficiency initiatives, including legal technology solutions such as GenAI tools, document automation, and AI-enabled due diligence processes.
  • Support business development activity through thought leadership, client seminars, and pitch support.
  • Participate actively in global K&I team collaboration and best-practice sharing.

About You

  • England & Wales qualified solicitor.
  • 6+ years' PQE gained at a leading City or international law firm with a strong corporate practice.
  • Strong experience advising on UK corporate and private M&A transactions, ideally including private equity and venture capital matters.
  • Previous experience in a Knowledge Lawyer / PSL role is preferred but not essential.
  • Genuine enthusiasm for knowledge-sharing, quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
  • Interest in legal technology, innovation, AI, and modern legal service delivery.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to engage confidently with partners and senior lawyers.
