We are partnering with a prestigious international law firm to recruit an experienced Facilities Assistant for their London office. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive, service-driven professional to join a high-performing team in a fast-paced corporate environment.
About the Role
This position plays a key part in ensuring the smooth running of a busy legal office. You’ll provide day-to-day facilities support, deliver exceptional customer service, and help maintain a safe, efficient, and well-organised workplace. The ideal candidate thrives in a hands-on role and enjoys being the go-to person for operational support.
Key Responsibilities
- Asset tracking and service request management
- Regular floor walks to support staff and identify issues
- Reporting and monitoring maintenance issues with external vendors
- Supporting reactive tasks and project work with the wider team
- Coordinating office moves and workstation setups
- Preparing new joiner offices and assisting leavers
- Meeting room furniture setup and reconfiguration
- Updating departmental documents and compliance files
- Monitoring and reporting defects (lighting, HVAC, leaks, blinds, etc.)
- Carrying out basic repairs and troubleshooting
- Supervising contractors as required
- Supporting health & safety inspections, DSE checks, and risk assessments
Candidate Profile
We are seeking someone who brings professionalism, initiative, and a strong customer-service mindset. Ideally at least 3 years’ experience in a facilities role within a law firm. Excellent organisational and time-management skills. Calm, professional approach in a busy environment. Strong administrative and record-keeping abilities. Comfortable with physical duties and hands-on tasks. Strong communication skills across all levels. Knowledge of health & safety and building services (desirable). H&S or IWFM qualifications (advantageous).
