We are working with a highly respected law firm renowned for its leadership in ESG and responsible business practices. As part of a strategic growth and development phase, the firm is seeking an Interim Head of Responsible Business to lead and elevate its Responsible Business Strategy. This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned ESG leader to make a meaningful impact at one of the most forward-thinking firms in the sector.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the implementation and development of the Responsible Business Strategy, ensuring alignment with firm-wide goals and KPIs.
- Work cross-functionally to embed responsible business practices across legal services, internal operations, and culture.
- Manage and mentor a dedicated team across key areas: sustainability, community engagement, human rights, DEI, and ethical client collaboration.
- Provide strategic guidance to senior leaders and act as a trusted advisor on all ESG and responsible business matters.
- Represent the firm externally at events, forums, and awards to enhance visibility and influence in the ESG space.
- Oversee the publication of the firm’s Responsible Business Report and related communications.
- Support key tenders and client pitches with compelling ESG content and credentials.
- Drive innovation in reporting, benchmarking, and measurement frameworks (e.g. Ecovadis, UNGC, Science-Based Targets).
- Significant experience leading ESG, sustainability or responsible business strategies in a professional services or corporate environment.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with proven ability to influence at senior and board levels.
- In-depth knowledge of ESG frameworks such as the UN SDGs, Science-Based Targets, and materiality assessments.
- Passionate about delivering positive social and environmental impact through commercial platforms.
