Our leading global law firm client is seeking a Competitive Intelligence Analyst to join its Client Development department in London. In this role, you’ll collaborate across business development teams to deliver market‑shaping intelligence, support strategic growth initiatives, and provide actionable insights to senior stakeholders.

What You’ll Do

  • Conduct deep‑dive research and analysis on:
  • Key clients and prospects
  • Market and industry trends
  • Competitors and emerging opportunities
  • Support business development by:
    • Providing background research for targeting initiatives
    • Maintaining and evolving intelligence‑tracking tools
    • Generating reports and data‑driven insights
    • Creating alerts and monitoring systems to surface opportunities
  • Work cross‑functionally to:
    • Identify client growth opportunities
    • Benchmark against global and domestic competitors
    • Support events, campaigns, client communications and strategic BD projects
    • Prepare presentations and deliver insights to lawyers and internal teams

    What You’ll Bring

    • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree a plus
    • 4–6 years’ experience in research, analytics, or business development within a law firm or professional services environment (European office experience desirable)
    • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint; experience with Power BI or visualization tools a plus
    • Skilled at navigating research platforms such as Capital IQ, Bloomberg, PitchBook, Mergermarket, FactSet, LexisNexis, Westlaw, and others
    • Exceptional analytical, critical‑thinking, and communication skills
    • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and thrive in a dynamic environment
    • High attention to detail and strong client‑service orientation
