Compliance Officer – Business Acceptance
Location: Central London | Hybrid Working Available | Full-Time
On behalf of a leading international law firm, we are looking for a Compliance Officer to join their Business Acceptance team in London. This is an excellent opportunity for a compliance professional with experience in conflicts, AML, and client onboarding to join a collaborative and high-performing team within a global legal environment.
About the Role
The Compliance Officer will play a key role in supporting the firm’s new business intake and regulatory compliance processes. Working closely with colleagues across the UK, Asia, and other business support functions, you’ll help ensure that client and matter onboarding is handled efficiently and in line with regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Reviewing and analysing conflict search results to identify and help resolve regulatory and commercial conflicts
- Managing requests for new client and matter openings using Intapp Open
- Conducting client due diligence (CDD) research and supporting fee earners in gathering required documentation
- Implementing and maintaining information barriers
- Performing sanctions screening and escalating issues as appropriate
- Supporting software testing and upgrades related to compliance systems
