Legal Finance Consultant – Accounts Co‑ordinator

About the Role

This is a hands-on opportunity to support the day-to-day accounts function of a leading international law firm. Ensuring the London office’s financial operations run smoothly and in full compliance with the Solicitors Accounts Rules, from bank reconciliations and VAT returns to payroll support and client account management, you’ll play a key role in maintaining financial accuracy and regulatory integrity. Law firm experience required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain financial records in line with UK regulatory requirements and firm policies
  • Daily review of firm bank accounts and prompt processing of client account transactions
  • Manage supplier invoices, expense claims, and other payments efficiently
  • Prepare quarterly VAT returns and maintain records for P11D and PSA reporting
  • Liaise with auditors during the annual SARs audit
  • Review monthly bank reconciliations
  • Assist with payroll and pension payments
  • Respond to queries related to Accounts Payable and Receivable
  • Support annual budget preparation and monthly variance reporting

About You

  • Experience in legal accounts
  • Strong working knowledge of Solicitors Accounts Rules and VAT reporting
  • Experience with the 3E accounts system preferred
