Partnership Tax Assistant London | International Law Firm | Hybrid An international law firm is seeking a Partnership Tax Assistant to join its Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a tax professional with personal tax experience to play a key role in supporting the firm's partners through the end-to-end tax return process. Working closely with partners and the wider finance function, you will assist with the preparation and administration of UK personal tax returns, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and exceptional service delivery in a collaborative and professional environment. Key Responsibilities UK tax return preparation - Assist with the preparation and submission of partners' UK personal tax returns. Partner tax support - Provide administrative and technical support throughout the annual tax return process. Self-employed tax returns - Prepare and review tax returns for self-employed partners where required. Tax data collection - Gather, organise and reconcile financial information needed for accurate tax filings. HMRC liaison and research - Retrieve and analyse tax information from HMRC Government Gateway, including payments, liabilities and filing records. Tax software management - Utilise commercial tax software, ideally Digita, to prepare and manage tax return workflows. Compliance monitoring - Ensure tax returns are completed in line with current UK tax legislation and filing deadlines. Partner communication - Liaise directly with partners to obtain outstanding information and respond to tax-related queries. Process improvement - Contribute to the continuous improvement of tax processes and procedures within the finance function. Experience Required Experience preparing UK personal tax returns. Knowledge of self-employed tax returns and partnership taxation would be advantageous. ATT or CTA qualification, or working towards either qualification, is desirable. Familiarity with HMRC Government Gateway and extracting tax payment, liability and filing information. Strong understanding of UK tax legislation and regulations. Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Word. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
