We are partnering with a leading international law firm to recruit an experienced Legal Biller on an ongoing temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate who has worked within a law firm and can thrive in a fast paced, busy environment. We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running and start immediately. This role requires strong billing experience within the legal sector and essential knowledge of Elite 3E.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of end to end billing processes.
- Attend monthly WIP meetings, run reports, and action follow ups.
- Initiate, edit, review, and post proformas and invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Produce bespoke invoice narratives and distribute invoices internally and externally.
- Handle credit notes, WIP and disbursement transfers, write offs, and manage complex/composite invoices.
- Maintain accurate billing data on client and matter files, obtaining compliance approvals when needed.
- Manage tasks and queries within the Finance Inbox and respond to billing queries professionally.
- Collaborate with wider Finance teams to streamline processes and support change initiatives.
- Provide team cover and undertake additional tasks as required by the Billing Supervisor.
Requirements
- MUST have Elite 3E experience.
- Previous experience working in a law firm is essential.
- Able to work in a busy, high volume environment.
- Strong eye for detail and excellent organisational skills.
- Confident communicator with the ability to build strong working relationships.
- Available to start immediately.
- Able to work 2-3 days per week in the office.
