Job Description
A well-established and highly regarded Intellectual Property law firm is seeking a Junior Compliance Manager to join its growing Risk & Compliance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a compliance professional looking to take the next step in their career within a collaborative and specialist legal environment.
Offering a flexible hybrid working model of 2 days in the office and 3 days from home, the firm provides a supportive culture, strong career development opportunities and exposure to a broad range of compliance and regulatory matters.
Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will support the firm's regulatory and risk management framework, helping to ensure compliance with relevant legal, regulatory and professional obligations.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the day-to-day operation of the firm's compliance and risk function.
- Conduct client and matter onboarding, including CDD, KYC and AML due diligence checks.
- Review sanctions, PEP and adverse media screening results and escalate findings where appropriate.
- Assist with conflicts checks and risk assessments for new instructions.
- Support the delivery of compliance training across the firm.
- Handle queries from fee earners and business services teams regarding risk and compliance matters.
About You
- Previous experience within a legal compliance, AML, risk or conflicts role.
- Good understanding of AML regulations, client due diligence requirements and financial crime prevention.
- Experience conducting KYC, sanctions and adverse media checks.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
- Confident communicating with stakeholders across all levels of the business.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
