Job Description
An elite US law firm is seeking an AML Analyst to join its highly regarded Risk & Compliance team in London. This is an excellent opportunity for an AML professional to join a prestigious international firm known for its outstanding reputation, collaborative culture, and high-profile client base.
Working closely with lawyers, partners, and compliance colleagues, you will play a key role in supporting the firm's financial crime and regulatory obligations, ensuring robust client due diligence processes are maintained across a broad range of complex matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct client and matter due diligence, including KYC, CDD and enhanced due diligence reviews.
- Assess AML and financial crime risks associated with new business relationships and ongoing client matters.
- Perform sanctions, PEP and adverse media screening and analyse results.
- Assist with ongoing monitoring and remediation projects.
- Support the onboarding process by liaising with partners, fee earners and business services teams.
- Escalate high-risk matters and assist with risk assessments and compliance reporting where required.
About You
- Previous AML, KYC or Compliance experience within a law firm.
- Strong understanding of UK AML regulations and client due diligence requirements.
- Experience reviewing corporate ownership structures and identifying beneficial owners.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels of a business.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
