Ryder Reid Legal is currently recruiting for an AP Assistant to join one of our prestigious, global law firm clients on a permanent basis at their London office. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow your finance career in a regulated legal environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and code supplier invoices and disbursements
  • Apply VAT accurately in line with HMRC and firm policy
  • Manage staff expense claims via Concur
  • Prepare and process weekly payment runs (BACS, CHAPS, Faster Payments)
  • Reconcile supplier statements and maintain the purchase ledger
  • Record and reconcile credit card transactions and direct debits
  • Handle petty cash and ensure compliance with SRA Accounts Rules
  • Format and submit invoices to the US team
  • Organise and upload digital invoices into accounting software
  • Assist with internal and external audits

Experience:

  • Previous experience in a legal or finance admin role
  • Basic understanding of SRA Accounts Rules and VAT
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems
  • Experience with Concur (desirable but not essential)
  • Willingness to learn and grow within a legal finance team
