Ryder Reid Legal is currently recruiting for an AP Assistant to join one of our prestigious, global law firm clients on a permanent basis at their London office. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow your finance career in a regulated legal environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and code supplier invoices and disbursements
- Apply VAT accurately in line with HMRC and firm policy
- Manage staff expense claims via Concur
- Prepare and process weekly payment runs (BACS, CHAPS, Faster Payments)
- Reconcile supplier statements and maintain the purchase ledger
- Record and reconcile credit card transactions and direct debits
- Handle petty cash and ensure compliance with SRA Accounts Rules
- Format and submit invoices to the US team
- Organise and upload digital invoices into accounting software
- Assist with internal and external audits
Experience:
- Previous experience in a legal or finance admin role
- Basic understanding of SRA Accounts Rules and VAT
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems
- Experience with Concur (desirable but not essential)
- Willingness to learn and grow within a legal finance team
