An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a qualified accountant to join a leading US law firm as a Financial Accountant, taking ownership of statutory reporting, tax compliance, and key regulatory responsibilities across multiple entities. This is a high-visibility role within a sophisticated finance function, offering exposure to senior stakeholders and international operations.
The Financial Accountant will be responsible for statutory LLP financials, property company accounts, corporate tax returns, statutory audit coordination, and VAT reporting and compliance. The position requires strong technical expertise and the confidence to work closely with partners, advisors, and cross-border teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation and oversight of LLP and subsidiary accounts, including London LLP, Paris LLP, the Property company, and dormant entities, working across both cash and accrual accounting
- Preparation of tax computations
- Management of group VAT returns, including preparation and submission
- Building relationships with professional advisors and attending networking sessions and roundtable discussions
- Monitoring regulatory, financial, legal, and tax changes that may impact the firm
- Ensuring adherence to finance policies and best practice across the Accounts function
Skills & Experience Required
- ACCA/ACA qualified with 4+ PQE
- Strong technical knowledge of financial accounting legislation, including IFRS 15, IFRS 16, and LLP SORP
- Recent experience preparing financial statements under UK GAAP
- Professional services experience
- Advanced Excel proficiency with strong analytical and reconciliation skills
