Accounting Specialist 12m FTC | London Law Firm | Hybrid 3:2 This is a varied accounting role with a prestigious US law firm, with an emphasis on supporting the yearly audit and ensuring adherence to the SRA Accounts Rules. Main Responsibilities Inbox management - Handling finance inbox enquiries and ensuring accurate, timely responses Audit support - Assisting with the annual audit and maintaining full SRA Accounts Rules compliance throughout the year Cashflow oversight - Monitoring daily cash balances, managing currency trades and preparing internal cashflow reporting Bank reconciliations - Completing monthly bank reconciliations and monitoring daily balances Expense approvals - Managing expense and invoice approvals through Emburse VAT reporting - Preparing monthly VAT reports for the UK and Germany, and drafting VAT returns for review and submission Statutory filings - Producing statutory and regulatory statistical returns with accuracy and timely filing Budget cycle support - Supporting the annual budgeting process, including data gathering, departmental liaison and preparation of schedules Financial analysis - Completing variance analysis, balance sheet reviews and P L accuracy checks Client receipts - Recording and reporting client account receipts Journal posting - Reviewing and posting journals to ensure a...
